No, the FR-S will not be getting a cage for quite some time. That will happen a couple years after it's paid off and I have a reliable new DD; then it's full on race car time for that.

We were just bending the main hoop for my friend's E30. It's been sitting at our buddy Bill's place for quite awhile now, with $1,000 in tubing laying next to it, and they finally decided to get the ball rolling last night. And that's why I didn't get home until 1:15 this morning. haha

How hard was getting it bent? Does he have a mandrel bender, or is there some other way to do it? I need a roll cage in Charlie and am weighing my options.

Nope, we didn't need to mandrel bend. It was pretty simple to get the bend going. The guy we were working on it with knows a thing or two about caging E30s , so it went pretty smoothly.
